the dolphin’s mouth
the hole located at the top of the dolphin, allowing it to breathe and make its calls
the fin at the top of the dolphin (like a shark fin)
a smaller pool used to get closer to the dolphins to study them or to do experiments on them
the forehead of the dolphin, which modulates, focuses the animal’s vocalizations, and locates sounds; used for communication and echolocation
a marine mammal trained for military purposes
a way to keep dolphins in the open sea but also held back from the open water
the dolphin’s mouth (top and bottom beak); can also be referred to as its snout

see rostrum

a verticle half-rise out of the water performed by whales and dolphins so that they can view their surroundings above the surface of the water
usually the area where dolphins and marine mammals perform or learn their tricks for audiences
the dolphin’s tail end
some dolphinariums have multiple pools that hold the dolphins back before they enter the staging area (or staging pool)
